Dustpan Love

Tanner loves to "hep" me with chores- especially the ones that get messier before they get better (such as sweeping). He is also particularly attached to our new dustpan, now that it actually has a handle (thanks, Susie- I think I had a landfill issue...). Tanner spent one day carrying it everywhere...up and down the stairs, in and out of rooms, in the highchair, and it had to be in his hand when reading with his dad. Not sure what this means, but it is totally uncorrelated to his mess-making tendencies. He can ruin a room fast...

Bye-Bye

This blog is all about Tanner. In fact, it is his baby book. So sorry for him that it is starting as he is 18 months old, but I say that this is better than nothing...Tanner has started saying "bye-bye" every (appropriate) chance he gets. We went through the drive-thru, and he said it as we exited the order window, again after the payment window, and again after we got the bag. He also says it after every book closes and when you step into the shower. He has no separation issues, he is just an observant and polite boy. I couldn't love him more and I hate when I have to say those dreaded words to him. We are still working on "please," as he seems determined not to say that one....
